Is stress management for you?
Finding it hard to know whether or not you are suffering from stress, or whether you should just put up with things as they are?Firstly, I generally encourage people to come for stress management because they think it is a good idea, and not because their partner/ boss/ children think they should. It goes without saying that you will benefit much more if you actually want to participate in the process.
Everyone is comfortable with a different degree of stress in their life. Some people say they thrive on pressure, while others feel happier and healthier when life is calm and they have plenty of time to themselves. The point is to know what suits you, and find ways of keeping your stress at a level where you feel stimulated, able to function at your optimum, and enjoy all aspects of your life.
